Yes! Our products are low in Net Carbs* and contain only keto-friendly sweeteners (Monk Fruit and Allulose). If your keto diet requires baked treats in the Net Carb range of 3-6 grams per serving, our satisfying servings are a bit higher at 6-10 grams (with extra frosting/spread, which is 1 gram). However, they could still work within a total daily restricted carb count (i.e. keto diet usually ranges 20-50 Net Carbs per day), depending on your required or preferred intake.

*Net Carbs are calculated by subtracting the grams of Dietary fiber and Allulose from the Total Carb count. (Allulose is not metabolized as a sugar or carbohydrate, so it is subtracted.) Each serving contains 1 gram of Allulose and our products do not contain sugar alcohols. Also note that the extra frosting (about 1g of carb) is already included in the Total Carb value on our nutritional tables.

As an example, for the NUVO MUFFIN - Raspberry Cacao, one serving (one muffin/3.15 ounces), contains 16 Total Carbs (including 1g for extra frosting), 8 grams of Dietary Fiber and 1 gram of Allulose. So the Net Carbs with extra frosting = 7 grams (16-8-1 = 7). Without the extra frosting, one serving has 6 grams of Net Carbs.

Great question! Our products are for ANYONE who would delight in healthy anytime treats that are flavorful, balanced in texture, not too sweet and just "feel good" when enjoyed. Of course, the products are specifically suitable to the various dietary approaches we have identified.

Great question! We consider our donuts and muffins "medium-sized" -- not small/mini and not large/standard. We feel this is the perfect portion size and since they come in two's (and also fours and sixes), you have a convenient and tidy way to choose your portion. 

To be specific, a NUVO DONUT has a diameter of about 3" and a NUVO MUFFIN of about 2.75", perfect for hand-held eating or savoring with a utensil! 

The extra donut frosting and muffin spread is an optional enhancement for your enjoyment -- to add to the donut or muffin, to apply to your favorite bread or coffee, or just on its own (we love it this way!). Since it is keto-sweetened, made with coconut butter and other superfoods, it makes for a healthy and satisfying treat! 

By the way, the included mini wooden "spork" is great for spreading and for optional hands-free eating!

To avoid the often undesirable texture of seeds in baked goods, we make our Blackberry Vanilla and Raspberry Cacao NUVO MUFFINS with only pure organic fruit powders rather than the whole berries. The powders are the whole berries finely ground, no additives. 

These whole fruit powders lend a largely "seedless" texture and flavor to our recipes, but they do contain the ground up matter of the entire berry, wherein the ground seed matter is largely undetectable.

If you have a specific sensitivity to seeds, we would recommend choosing other flavors of our treats. However, this ground up form of the fruit is usually acceptable for most anyone. 

We define NUVO CRUMBLES as flavorful but not-too-sweet crunchy-soft crumbles and crumbs that are a low-carb, low-sugar granola alternative -- perfect for cereal with plant milk, topping or snack for yogurt or acai bowl, and of course, as a snack out of the pouch. 

Our Crumbles are made with organic almond flour, organic coconut flour, organic nuts , organic spices, organic and non-GMO flavorings, organic coconut oil and strictly keto sweeteners in moderation. 

Although the texture is mostly crumbly, it is normal for there to be a good amount of smaller crumbs as well, since the Crumbles are made with pure organic flours without added binders or fillers. We happen to LOVE the smaller crumbs on top of vegan ice cream and the like, as it brings a new level of textural enjoyment!

Sweetness is a rather subjective consideration. One person's "sweet" may be another person's "bland" and different flavors may present as more or less sweet. At NUVO FÜDS, we take a balanced and moderate approach to the level of natural and enhanced sweetness in our goods, so that eaters of all kinds can find the treats enjoyable and feasible. 

We definitely tend toward the "not too sweet" end of the spectrum and use strictly keto/non-glycemic sweeteners (namely Monk Fruit and some Allulose). We also recognize the special role sweeteners can play in either enhancing or masking the natural flavors of other ingredients.  

Monk fruit, known as the "Immortals Fruit" is a subtropical melon high in antioxidants that has no glycemic impact (or carbohydrate value), despite being a more concentrated sweetener. 

Allulose is actually a monosaccharide, an actual sugar derived from figs, raisins and jackfruit that the body processes differently than other sugars. Even though its sweetness is proportionate to sugar and it is labeled as a carbohydrate, it has no blood sugar impact and is not metabolized as a carbohydrate.

Neither sweetener adds calories to the overall recipe and both have exceptional flavor in treats with little or no aftertaste. 

Arrowroot is a grain-free, gluten-free and paleo-friendly starch derived from tropical plants and is said to have many health benefits. We use organic arrowroot powder for its reliable and stellar contribution  to the consistency of our baked goods.

Konjac Root, also known as Glucomannan, is an herb that grows in parts of Asia and is considered a very low carb starch that adds texture to foods. Because it is an exceptionally rich source of soluble dietary fiber, its carbohydrate content does not contribute to the overall carb count of our baked goods, making it perfect for the keto and low carb dietary approaches.  

Konjac Root is also said to offer various health benefits, including improved metabolism, enhanced digestion, balanced blood sugar and lowered cholesterol.

NUVO DONUTS & MUFFINS are best stored in the refrigerator for optimal freshness and are best enjoyed within 10 days. They can be eaten cold or at room temperature, but not heated. They can also be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months and thawed before enjoying. 

NUVO CRUMBLES stay fresh for 3 weeks out of the refrigerator, though refrigeration is recommended to prolong freshness up to 6 weeks.

We are local to Santa Monica, CA. Currently, we produce our offerings in a state-of-the-art residential kitchen certified by the County of LA Health Dept. The space allows us to preserve a fully vegan and gluten-free environment and to closely monitor health standards during the Covid-19 recovery and overall. 

We offer free curbside pickup in Santa Monica* as well as contact-free delivery for orders $25 and up within a 15 mile radius of Santa Monica (or farther upon request for additional fee). Both options are available weekly on Wednesday and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in order to provide freshly made product in a timely manner. 

You will be able to select a Pickup or Delivery date/time slot at checkout and will receive a confirmation email. Please visit our Pickup & Delivery page for further details. 

We will be offering shipping in California starting in 2022. In the meantime as we set up this functionality, please contact us directly at info@nuvofuds.com to place an order for shipment.

*Pickup Location:  913 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405 (near 10th Street on the north side). Please call us at 310-295-7344 upon arrival and we will meet you out front with your order. This is our production facility, not a storefront.

All orders are prepared fresh once they are submitted. Pickup and delivery orders will be fulfilled 4 days from the date your order was received (including weekends), unless otherwise arranged. You will be able to choose a pickup/delivery option on either a Wednesday or Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Someone MUST be present to receive delivery orders, as refrigeration is required for storage. 

*PLEASE NOTE:  

- For Wednesday pickup or delivery, orders must be placed by 12:00 noon on the prior Saturday. 

- For Saturday pickup or delivery, orders must be placed by 12:00 noon on the prior Tuesday. 

If your order requires additional time due to size or customization, an adjusted pickup or delivery date will be arranged. 

Yes! We offer the option of presenting your selections in a modern gift bag + ribbon + custom message card. There are two options:

~ For single products (any size) in one gift bag:  Make your product selection then select "Gift-bag this product + $6". You will be prompted to enter your gift message. At checkout, you will be able to choose a delivery time slot and enter the recipient delivery address (direct to gift recipient or to you). *Note: One delivery address per order. 

~ For multiple products in one gift bag:  Make your product selections then go to your shopping cart. At the bottom you will see "Gift-bag this entire order (See rates)". Select this option and enter your gift message. The gift-bag rate based on your subtotal will be added to your total. *Note: One delivery address per order. One gift message per bag.

Since all of our products are made fresh to order, we do not offer refunds. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us at orders@nuvofuds.com and we will do our best to address your concerns.
